Conventional dispersants are formulated for use in marine environments and will not work in low salinity conditions.
Dasic Freshwater Dispersant is revolutionary and is even effective in waters of zero salinity.
Dasic Freshwater Dispersant removes spilled oil from water surfaces and breaks it down into tiny emulsion droplets. These droplets biodegrade much faster than untreated oil.
APPLICATION
Dasic Freshwater Dispersant should be applied neat at a rate of 1 part dispersant to 25 parts oil. It is important to spray the dispersant directly and evenly onto the oil to obtain maximum effectiveness. The use of breaker boards, boat propellers, wooden paddles etc., to provide agitation in calm conditions will greatly facilitate dispersion of the spilled oil.
IMPORTANT – It is essential to check that local regulations permit the use of dispersants in fresh water. Always obtain the approval of the relevant authorities before each use.
